COUP (Conference On University Purchasing) is the leading national conference on purchasing in the Higher Education calendar. On September 4th-6th 2007 the NEUPG Ltd will host this event in conjunction with the Royal Armouries Museum in Leeds and the University of Leeds.

COUP represents over 180 Higher Education Institutions and affiliated members within the whole of the UK. Over a two day period, the conference will seek to explore the latest ideas and developments that are influencing procurement within the HE sector and provide a natural forum for sharing practice. It is our intention to make COUP 2007 an 'inclusive' conference encouraging full participation from delegates and suppliers alike. It will provide an ideal forum for our nationally and regionally contracted suppliers to develop their business primarily with the HE sector, to exhibit their latest products and services, and make contact with everyday buyers as well as the key decision makers face to face. There will be expert conference and exhibition management assistance during the event supplied by the University of Leeds Conference Office - Universally Leeds.

The City of Leeds is considered to be the UK's favourite city and is the largest urban development in Yorkshire and the economic centre of the county attracting thousands of tourists and visitors each year. The Royal Armouries Museum was opened in 1996 to house the national collection of arms and armour. The conference facilities are second to none with a purpose built, self-contained, air-conditioned lecture theatre, which will host our plenary sessions, on two tiers. Sloping floors provide excellent sight lines to the fixed stage. The Wellington and Churchill Suites and Tower Gallery are excellent conference and seminar rooms, being light and airy accommodating between 40 and 120 people. The Exhibition Hall is purpose built with clear span exhibition space.
